Blair graduated from Auburn University Montgomery with a business degree in 1981 and a master's in business administration in 1988. She has spent more than 25 years in the eldercare business and is the retired owner and president of Central Alabama Nursing Services, which she sold in 2008. The company provided in-home care to more than 300 clients in a 13-county area. Blair also founded and built Montgomery's Belmont Assisted Living Facilities, which consisted of two 16-bed facilities, and sold it after seven years. She currently owns Blair Properties, LLC, which purchases, refurbishes, and rents single-family dwellings in Montgomery.
Blair served as director of the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations (now the Alabama Department of Labor) during Gov. Fob James' second term. She currently serves on the boards of the Montgomery Area Council on Aging where she is secretary/treasurer, Leadership Montgomery, and Soroptimist International of Montgomery.
She is a member of the Auburn Women's Philanthropy Board, Auburn's Petrie Society, and AUM's 1967 Society and Chancellor's Society. She serves on the AUM Chancellor's Advisory Board and is a life member of the AUM Alumni Association. She is also a member of the National Cabinet for AUM's capital campaign. She is married to Glen Zorn.
