Stukes earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1988. She is a retired Walker County school system teacher and currently resides in Jasper, Alabama.
Stukes is a member of the executive committee of Auburn’s Women’s Philanthropy Board in the College of Human Sciences. She served as a campaign co-chair for Because This is Auburn — A Campaign for Auburn University and chaired its College of Human Sciences campaign committee. She is a life member of the Auburn Alumni Association.
Stukes is a member of Auburn’s 1856 Society, Petrie Society, Foy Society (20 Years) and the Athletics Shug Jordan Society.
