Campbell earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial operations management from Auburn University in 1984. He is owner and managing partner of Campbell Wealth Management in Birmingham, Alabama, a comprehensive wealth management firm that specializes in both fee-based investment advisory services and wealth transfer strategies utilizing life insurance. He is also a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) as designated by the American College of Financial Services.

A football letterman at Auburn, Campbell played quarterback from 1981-83 and in his final year, served as the team’s co-captain. In 1983, he received Auburn’s Cliff Hare Award, the highest honor bestowed by Auburn on a student-athlete. In 2012, he received the Greater Birmingham Auburn Club’s Distinguished Award for a Former Athlete in its inaugural year. During the It Begins at Auburn campaign, he co-chaired campaign efforts in the Birmingham region. He is a life member of the Auburn Alumni Association.

Campbell is a member of Auburn’s 1856 Society, Petrie Society, Foy Society (10 Years), and the Athletics All-American Society.
