Corson earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Auburn University in 1983. He is the President and CEO of Imperial Oil, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil.

Corson is a member of the Engineering Council, Engineering Ginn Society, Engineering Eagle Society, 1856 Society, and the Foy Society (5 Years).
