James E. Foy Loyalty Society

The Foy Society provides well-deserved recognition to donors who contribute to the significant life-changing accomplishments of our students, faculty and academic programs.

Donors who have made gifts to Auburn University for five or more consecutive years are recognized through membership in the Foy Society. There is additional recognition for consecutive giving of 10, 15 and 20 years. Donors who contribute for 25 years consecutively are recognized in the Katharine Cooper Cater Circle of the Foy Society.

First-time Foy Society members, or those reaching new milestones, receive a Foy Society welcome letter and lapel pin denoting the milestone period of consecutive-year giving.

A Tradition of

EXCELLENCE

James E. Foy is one of Auburn’s most widely known and beloved figures. He was the embodiment of loyalty to Auburn University. He helped guide the campus community through the Vietnam War, the integration of the university and the women’s equality movement.

Together with his longtime friend and colleague, former Dean of Women Katharine Cooper Cater, he made an immeasurable impact on Auburn’s campus and its students. The impact of the love both of these significant figures had for Auburn still lives on today.
