Women’s Philanthropy Board

The Women’s Philanthropy Board (WPB), the flagship division of the Cary Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies in the College of Human Sciences at Auburn University, was organized in Spring 2002. The group is advised by an executive committee of outstanding leaders in business and public service who are committed to inspiring, educating, and enabling individuals to:

  • Develop their full leadership potential
  • Achieve independence as financial donors and decision-makers
  • Serve as mentors for future generations of philanthropists
  • Broaden the base of financial support for the College of Human Sciences

To date, WPB has provided over $500,000 in the form of student scholarships and faculty, program, and project awards within the College of Human Sciences. The Mentee program has served over 200 students.

Recognition Milestones:
WPB Associate Donor: $500 annually for a 5-year pledge term ($2,500), for individuals 30 years old and younger
WPB Benefactor Donor: $1,000 annually for a 5-year pledge term ($5,000)
WPB Visionary Donor: $5,000 annually for a 5-year pledge term ($25,000)
WPB Business Donor: $1,500 annually for a 3-year pledge term ($4,500)
WPB Corporate Partner: $5,000 annually
