Henderson graduated from Auburn in 1976 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics and received a J.D., cum laude, from New York University Law School in 1979.

He has been a partner at the international law firm of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, or one of its predecessors, in New York since 1987. At Bryan Cave, Henderson has served multiple terms on the firm’s executive committee, led strategic planning processes, and shepherded multiple law firm mergers.

While at Auburn, Henderson served as President of Omicron Delta Kappa, was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Spades honoraries, received the President’s Award as outstanding graduate of the School of Arts & Sciences, and held various positions in the Student Government Association. He has served on the College of Liberal Arts Deans Advisory Council and is a life member of the Auburn Alumni Association. He is a member of Auburn’s 1856 Society, Petrie Society, Foy Society (25 Years), and the Liberal Arts Deans Club. He is married to Auburn graduate Kathy Graves Henderson (1976) and is the father of two grown children.
