After graduating from Auburn’s Harrison College of Pharmacy, Walker began her pharmacy career as a staff pharmacist at the location which is now known as Fort Moore in Georgia. Walker continued her work as a pharmacist at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center, moving up to director of inpatient pharmacy services and pharmacy clinical coordinator. While in the Great Lakes area she was a preceptor and adjunct faculty for Midwestern University’s College of Pharmacy. During her pharmacy career, she has been an active researcher in her field, making contributions to healthcare policy. After obtaining her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Campbell University, she joined Pfizer Inc. in 2001 as a clinical education consultant. During her career with Pfizer Inc., Walker was a valued and respected colleague who was promoted to many leadership positions. She retired from Pfizer as the executive director, medical outcomes specialist.

Walker also serves on the Pharmacy Dean’s Advisory Council. She is a member of the 1856, Petrie and Foy societies.
