Hailing from a three-generation farming family, Lexie Craig was led to Auburn’s College of Veterinary Medicine by her Kentucky roots. But it’s the shining impact of VetMed alumnus Woody Bartlett ’64 that inspires her to reach for the next level of veterinary achievement.

At the end of 2025, the amount of money you can leave to your heirs is scheduled to be rolled back to pre-2018 levels. For many people, certain types of planned gifts can be an effective way to minimize taxes while still providing for family in the future.

At a ceremony in April, Auburn University welcomed 103 new households to the George Petrie Society, a special group of Auburn Family members who have created a planned gift to make a difference at the university.
